Speaker:

Jennifer “Jen” Salisbury, MLS, CP, is an educator, Certified Paralegal, and longtime leader in the paralegal profession. She serves as Academic Program Coordinator and full-time instructor for the Paralegal/Law Program at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada. A graduate of the program herself, Jen began teaching part-time at TMCC in 2021 while working as a litigation paralegal and became Program Coordinator and a full-time instructor in January 2025.

Jen has been a member of the Sierra Nevada Association of Paralegals (SNAP) since 2011 and has served on its Executive Committee since 2014. Her SNAP leadership has included service as President, and current SNAP correspondence identifies her as Secretary, Election Chairperson, and Public Relations Chair.

Jen earned her NALA Certified Paralegal credential in 2013 and has served on NALA’s Continuing Education Council since 2022, becoming Chair in 2025. Through her work with NALA, SNAP, and TMCC, she promotes continuing education, professional development, certification, and mentorship for current and future paralegals.

Jen holds an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal/Law from Truckee Meadows Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy of Ethics, Law & Politics from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master of Legal Studies with an emphasis in Applied Research from Purdue University Global.
